Vertafore Opens New Office in Midtown Atlanta on Heels of $35 Million Investment in Expanding Data Centers

ATLANTA, GA – JUNE 9, 2015 – Vertafore, the leading provider of software that transforms the business of insurance, today announced the relocation of its regional offices from Conyers, GA to Midtown Atlanta along with a $35 million investment in  new data centers in the region. These efforts are part of Vertafore’s strategic initiative to bring hundreds of new high-tech jobs to the area and to meet the region’s growing demand for insurance technology. Vertafore chose the new location, One Midtown Plaza, as they ready to double their internship program with nearby Georgia Institute of Technology and forge a deeper connection to the local chapter of the Technology Association of Georgia.

“Midtown Atlanta is an ideal location for meeting with East Coast clients and strengthening our position within Atlanta’s dynamic tech community,” said Neil Snowdon, vice president of development and site leader of Vertafore’s Atlanta office. “The investment we are making in our data centers and the new office demonstrates our commitment to not only the local Atlanta community, but also to our 20,000 carriers and agencies we serve every day, many of which live and work on the East Coast.”

A recent report by CBRE shows Atlanta ranked one of the nation’s top 10 “momentum markets” for tech-driven demand, with a 21 percent growth in tech talent since 2010. The new office will be steps away from the Georgia Institution of Technology, a key partner in developing talent for the insurance technology industry. The new location offers better proximity to several key educators in the area, an important source for future hiring needs – over 25 percent of Vertafore’s Atlanta employees studied at Georgia Tech. Additionally, the office location will be ideal to allow Vertafore’s employees to build on a respected history with the Metro Atlanta chapter of the Technology Association of Georgia, a local trade group working to unite Georgia’s technology community.

“Here at Georgia Tech, we are excited at the continued growth of the innovation community around our campus. Vertafore joins a number of companies who are making the move to midtown, in part to increase access to our students, faculty, and startup community. Growing the next generation of leaders in the fields of engineering and computer science is paramount to our core mission of education and entrepreneurship,  and our local economy is a key component in helping us to accomplish our goals,” said Tom McDermott, Director, Technology Policy Initiatives, Georgia Institute of Technology. “Vertafore’s emphasis on technology innovation is exactly the type of experience we want to expose our students to in the form of internships and post-college careers.”

Vertafore will look to utilize the region’s top tech talent as they expand the capacity of their new state-of-the art data centers over the coming years. The Vertafore cloud currently stores over one billion documents and is growing rapidly as the company drives the insurance industry toward mobile technologies

“We have seen tremendous growth in the Atlanta tech scene over the last few years,” said Tino Mantella, president, Technology Association of Georgia. “Vertafore’s move to Midtown comes at the right time as today’s tech leaders are increasingly looking to work for companies that allow them to create cutting edge products while enjoying all of the amenities that a city like Atlanta has to offer. Companies like Vertafore are the backbone of our growing economy and we look forward to cultivating our relationship with them in the coming years.”
