Vertafore Inks Partnership with Progressive to Eliminate Manual, Time Intensive Policy Download Processes

BOTHELL, WA – April 28, 2014  Vertafore, the leading provider of software that transforms the business of insurance, and Progressive Insurance, one of the largest auto insurers in the United States, today announced a strategic partnership and introduced an automated direct download interface feature available to Vertafore AMS360 8.0 customers. The free service automates the manual and time-intensive daily task of downloading Progressive policies.

The process of downloading policies each night has backlogged insurance agents and significantly restricted productivity. According to a recent report by Strategy Meets Action (SMA), 36% of insurers plan to enhance existing policy systems to improve the agent/broker portals and experiences. Vertafore and Progressive’s automated direct daily download interface alleviates the challenges with manual download by streamlining the process and reducing redundancies. In doing so, agencies and their users are able to allocate more time and energy towards how to better serve their customers.

“The new direct download interface in AMS360 is saving our agency and agents significant time each morning and night by allowing us to avoid manual downloads of Progressive Insurance data,” said Nibby Priest, Executive Vice President at Vaughn Insurance Agency Co. “We continue to benefit from easy-to-use Vertafore agency solutions, and look forward to forthcoming product enhancements and solutions from Vertafore and their carrier partners.”

“Progressive continues to invest in technology that makes business faster and easier for agents. We selected Vertafore as a technology partner because they are a leader in the agency management system industry, sharing our passion for providing efficient and cost effective solutions for agents,” said Jim DeVito, Business Leader of Agency Systems & Control at Progressive Insurance. “With Vertafore, we have streamlined the process for agents by automatically downloading their policies each night, eliminating the manual policy process and freeing up more time for the agency.”

“Vertafore is partnering with Progressive to enable them to grow their focus on independent agents and – in term – to enable their independent agent customers. The seamless, automated direct download interface capability that lies at the heart of this partnership demonstrates both of those commitments,” said Alex Lintner, President and CEO of Vertafore. “Our innovative products combined with selected strategic partner relationships aim to provide the tools that enable agency efficiency and grow their business.”
