Indianapolis, IN. – March 24, 2014 – Vertafore, the leading provider of software that transforms the business of insurance, today announced an inaugural philanthropic event that will be held on the day before their annual user conference. Vertafore’s ‘Day of Caring’ is designed to help independent insurance agents, carriers, and Vertafore employees, get involved in the community before NetVU conference, the largest technology conference in the insurance industry.
Nearly 100 Vertafore customers and staff members have registered to volunteer at Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana on Wednesday, March 25. The group will help package food and supplies at Gleaner’s warehouse just outside Indianapolis. The event will mark the un-official start of NetVU15, the group’s annual user conference being held at the Indiana Convention Center this year.
Gleaners was selected as the inaugural philanthropic project because of their strong presence in southeast Indiana and their tenured experience caring for those struggling with hunger. Gleaners works with more than 260 hunger-relief agencies across southeast Indiana and distributed more than 33 million pounds of food last year which is the equivalent of more than 27 million meals.
