BOTHELL, WA – MAY 14, 2014 – Vertafore, the leading provider of software that transforms the business of insurance, today announced the appointments of former Intuit executives, Gregory Wright as senior vice president of agency management systems, and Tracie Lofgren as vice president of organizational capability. The high-tech software veterans rejoin their former colleague and newly appointed Vertafore CEO, Alex Lintner, to further establish the company’s leadership in the insurance technology industry. Vertafore continues to attract top technology talent from across the nation, with both new hires relocating from Silicon Valley to Vertafore’s Pacific Northwest headquarters in the Seattle metropolitan area.
“Since joining the company, I’ve made it my mission to catapult Vertafore to the forefront of technology innovation, not just in the insurance industry but also in the broader tech community,” said Alex Lintner, CEO of Vertafore. “As we continue to make investments in leading-edge technology innovation, we rely on our talented team to drive this next phase of growth. Having worked with both Greg and Tracie back at Intuit, I witnessed their leadership and strategic efforts involved in innovating the company’s flagship finance software. I liken the innovation they were part of at Intuit to what they can help achieve at Vertafore with insurance technology.”
A Seattle native, Wright returns to the Pacific Northwest after eight years at Intuit. During his tenure, he served as vice president of product management overseeing the end-to-end customer experience for Mint and Quicken, personal finance mobile and web solutions used by over 15 million customers. He also managed the Quickbooks product, Intuit’s flagship accounting solution used by over five million small businesses. Wright’s leadership helped cultivate an agile culture to deliver innovative solutions for small businesses and consumers. Wright previously worked alongside Vertafore CEO Alex Lintner as colleagues at the Boston Consulting Group, serving as a strategic consultant for large corporations. In his new role, Wright will devote his expertise to driving new lines of business and overseeing the launch of Vertafore’s agency solutions.
“Vertafore has a very strong market position and a winning strategy for the Vertafore Agency Platform,” said Wright. “I am thrilled to be working again with Alex and joining his amazing leadership team. The possibilities to launch, learn and grow together are endless, and I welcome the opportunities that lie ahead.”
Lofgren, also a native of the Pacific Northwest, joins Vertafore after 12 years with Intuit and 17 years with GE Capital where she held roles in Product Management, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Operations and HR. She has a uniquely expansive perspective and a tremendous background in process improvement combined with human performance management and strategic business organization and design / restructuring. Lofgren’s leadership has been integral to numerous game-changing business transformations at both companies.
Leveraging her background as a transformational leader, Lofgren will focus her expertise and experience building organizational capability at all levels of Vertafore and delivering on inorganic opportunities as the company accelerates its growth.
“It is exciting to be working again with Alex and to be become part of this stellar team. As Vertafore continues on an upward trajectory, it will be critical to ensure our growth is scalable and resources are optimized to capitalize on the significant market potential,” said Lofgren. “I’m looking forward to helping fuel that growth and executing against Vertafore’s vision of transforming both the company and the industry to serve customers better.”
